Stayhold® and Auria Team Up to Showcase New Cargo Area Storage Management Products at AAPEX 2019
- New products meet the needs of the rapidly growing SUV-CUV segments
- Products available for direct retail or dealer accessory market
DUBLIN, Ireland & SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – (October 15, 2019) – For the first time since announcing a joint development partnership in 2018, Stayhold® and Auria will team up at AAPEX 2019 to showcase a series of production-ready, jointly developed cargo area storage management solutions for vehicles.
These new products are designed to serve both the consumer retail market, with a high-end option to Stayhold’s current product portfolio, and appeal to the OEM aftermarket as a dealer accessory. Drawing on Auria’s expertise as a Tier 1 automotive supplier, the partnership will also showcase an OEM solution that integrates cargo managers into the rear side panels of the vehicle’s interior for a seamless, practical appearance.
“The major trend toward SUVs and CUVs worldwide has changed how consumers think about cargo management in their vehicle, given their more active lifestyles, and we believe this new line of products will meet those needs,” said Michael Culleton, president of Stayhold. “Since our founding in 2013, our sales have doubled year-over-year, indicating that there is an obvious market need for storage management options.”
Stayhold and Auria joined forces to combine Stayhold’s expertise in storage management products with Auria’s experience and expertise as a Tier-1 supplier of OEM trunk trim, interiors and other fiber-based materials.
“Because CUVs and SUVs don’t have the traditional isolation from the passenger compartment of a sedan, we are looking at ways to keep things secure in the back of the vehicles to reduce the distraction of having them roll or slide around in the cargo area, but we also want to make them blend with the interior design and be stowable when not in use,” said Brian Pour, CEO of Auria.
In addition to its cargo management products, Auria will display its all-new Armorlite replacement flooring system at AAPEX 2019.
Armorlite will be launched in early 2020 – initially for Jeep Wrangler models – but is being developed for use in several other applications as well, including autonomous vehicles, ride-sharing vehicles, heavy trucks, buses and delivery vehicles.
It is the most durable, complete flooring system available on the market and will be offered in multiple colors and styles as well.
The new line of products will be on display at booth 6016 in the AAPEX show.
